Merry Christmas!

So it's Christmas Eve and I feel pretty accomplished this holiday season! I still have 3 more gifts to make but because of the incoming ice storm I don't have to have them done by tomorrow morning. So I'm spending my afternoon surfing the web for project ideas and spending time with my husband and his children. It's truly a great day!

Christmas Cards 2009

First year I've handmade all my Christmas cards!! I think they turned out good and look forward to improving my card making skills.

Plate for Dad & Step Mom - Christmas 2009

I etched this dollar store plate. This was actually my first etching project ever. I think it turned out great. The other 3 plates I tried after this one are in the trash. :)

Candle for my Sister-in-Law - Christmas 2009

I made 3 different candles this year for Christmas by etching them and adding a few embellishments. This one turned out the best but still needs work. I just can't seem to get my etching dark enough.

Recipe Boxes for Step Daughters

These were fun but I couldn't get my creative mojo going. I think they turned out ok. I wish I had other colors for vinyl but I will in the future. Maybe I'll have to re-do them in the future for them. :)

Craft Room is done and I'm moving in!

Boy Oh Boy do I have a lot of stuff! I'm not even sure how long it will take me to get organized. I've been spending a couple hours each evening for the past two nights and I will do this until the room is completed. It's hard to do it all at once since I just hurt my knee and it's painful to stand for too long. Hopefully I will get it completed this weekend and be able to take pictures of the space. I'm so excited to be moving in!!

I have the world's best husband! :)

Michaels has cartridges $39.99 -- Woo Hoo!

I purchased Winter Woodland today and am sooo excited to get playing with it!

Craft Room Update...

My craft room is just about done! My sweet hubby painted the floor for me today and a few more paint touch ups are in order and then I can start moving in. The only thing that will be missing is a few cabinet doors but I can live with that for a little while. I'm so stinkin' excited to get moved in!

Featured Blogger!

I have to recognize cardmkrleslie who helped me today to save money on vinyl! I posted a vinyl question on the Cricut message board and she went out of her way to help me out. I really appreciate it. Though I know not many people visit my blog yet I'm hoping to be able to feature my favorite bloggers and Leslie is at the top of my list. Thank you so much Leslie!

My first freezer T's!!

Even though the craft room isn't complete I couldn't wait any longer to try the freezer T's. So here are my first three. I created them for all three of my step children. They love them and cannot wait to wear them when they come back in a week!

For Zach who is 13. I think the shirt catches the typical teenage attitude!

For Megan who is 11 and is the world's biggest drama queen.
She also feels that everyone should do what she wants all the time. :)

For Ally who is 10. My husband calls her "Dot" because she has all sorts of cute freckles!
