Blog Hop!! Woo Hoo

Blog hops are so much fun. You get lots of great ideas for projects and get to (potentially) win prizes! Who could ask for more?

Check out the most recent blog hop that I participated in at http://scrapersdelight.blogspot.com/.

Good luck!

I'm in love with a Gypsy

It's been so long since I've crafted. I've been so busy with work and life that my craft room is beginning to get dust bunnies! But I'm back and ready to get going again! I've missed my "ME" time.

I was hesitant to get a Gypsy thinking I wouldn't use it and would waste my money. But my DH got home from a recent trip and got himself a new ladder so I had an excuse to get myself something expensive!

I waiting for weeks (4 to be exact) before I found what I wanted and low and behold it ended up being the gypsy. Even when I brought it home I wasn't sure if I wanted to open it. But I'm SO GLAD I DID! I just love it!

I' spent well over 4 hours yesterday designing things. I have 4 complete 12x12 layouts done for the recent father/daughter dance, a first communion card done, and I've started my mom's mother's day present. Now I've only done the design pieces but look forward to cutting out the parts to all 3 projects this week and getting them put together. It truly is a great tool!

A+ recommendation from me!

Merry Christmas!

So it's Christmas Eve and I feel pretty accomplished this holiday season! I still have 3 more gifts to make but because of the incoming ice storm I don't have to have them done by tomorrow morning. So I'm spending my afternoon surfing the web for project ideas and spending time with my husband and his children. It's truly a great day!

Plate for Dad & Step Mom - Christmas 2009

I etched this dollar store plate. This was actually my first etching project ever. I think it turned out great. The other 3 plates I tried after this one are in the trash. :)

Candle for my Sister-in-Law - Christmas 2009

I made 3 different candles this year for Christmas by etching them and adding a few embellishments. This one turned out the best but still needs work. I just can't seem to get my etching dark enough.

Recipe Boxes for Step Daughters

These were fun but I couldn't get my creative mojo going. I think they turned out ok. I wish I had other colors for vinyl but I will in the future. Maybe I'll have to re-do them in the future for them. :)
